First I want to say I love this site and that I am a proud owner of an 07 CRV. So far I love the CRV but noticed yesterday when I was washing it that the plastic/rubber moulding(not sure if thats the correct term) at the bottom of the windshield is somewhat loose. The bottom corner of the moulding on both the driver side and passenger side lifts up just slighly intead of laying flat against the windshield. Is this something to be concerned about? There doesnt seem to be any risk of it breaking off, but I was concerned about water leaking inside the car. Do you think its something I need to show the dealer, or would it be safe to just glue it down myself. FWIW my wife has an accord that does the same thing, so it may just be how they are assembled.

The moulding/trim piece doesn't keep water out, it just makes it look pretty. The windshield seal keeps out the water. However, if it is loose or doesn't fit properly, take it to the dealer on your next service visit and have them fix it for you.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify this isnt the trim piece on the side but the piece that plast/rubber piece that runs along the bottom of the windshield. Instead of sitting flat against the windshield it sticks up a bit on each corner, so it looks like it lets a little water under the hood(although this is probably normal). If the piece is just for looks I will just wait and have them fix it when I go for my next service.

magicmike,

I have the same issue with mine, did you ever get yours fixed by the dealer?

I'm having an issue with my 06 windshield ..drivers side trim.
Along the bottom where the trim hits the corner rubber piece.

It seems that I just had the windshield replaced and now the trim isn't snapped in place. I'm gonna have the dealer check it.
