Some already mentioned, some not:

Windshield wiper and "squirter" de-icer

Longer center armrest (I think they wouldn't be quite so uncomfortable if they were a bit longer)

Lighted Vanity Mirrors

Better tires

Smokers package with a REAL ashtray

Change holder in center console

Seperate levers for tilt and telescope on steering wheel, maybe one that's not so rigid and hard to reach

Power window and door lock switches need to be located further forward on the door armrest (it's too hard to find them while driving without looking down)

Power mirror switch needs to be located to the door armrest to retain a more natural driving position while adjusting

Homelink and Bluetooth would be nice

Hydraulic hood openers would also be nice (instead of those silly little sticks that are always in the way)

Love the location of the shift knob allowing more floor space in the front seats

Love the auto open and close on the sunroof

Love the auto up on the drivers window (this feature surprised me!)

Love a lot more things on car but especially love that it was the only SUV that my wife and I test drove and both of us could get in and out of easily (with the exception of the funky lever for the tilt steering wheel). I'm 6' and she's 5'. It's incredibly hard to find a vehicle that fits both of us.

P.S. Love the gas mileage!! Beats the tar out of my '04 Impala SS and my '99 Silverado. No big surprise there but it's really enjoyable.

Smoker's package? Are you saying people still smoke? In a vehicle?

Hard to believe isn't it? Such a dirty, dirty habit. Nasty smoke, nasty. But you know what, if you're careful and not drinkin' and smokin' while driving everything is usually okay.;) Keep the window cracked and air it out frequently. Hence the decent ashtray. If I wanted to ash into a cup I'd stop by McDonald's and order a small Coke.

Another one I thought of:

How about a little padding around the knee areas? The handle on the door, while kinda cool lookin' in a Jetson's sorta way, is hard as a rock and so is the shifter console on the other side. No where to really rest the knees you know?

I am going to disagree on the ashtray matter. I found it extremely nice idea of Honda people the removable ashtray. I don`t know if another car has something similar. Non smokers why should they have something that don`t use in the front panel? And for smokers it can be used for all the seats. I just put it away in a cupboard from the first day.
The big sunroof is great. When I was ordering the car , I didn`t want it but I was totally wrong. Honda knows best. It`s almost like having a convertible car without its drawbacks.
I would want a button for locking the 4 wheel drive, perhaps more for psychological reasons.
About the engine, here we have the 2.0 ivtec and I find it totally satisfying.
I`d like to be able to play movies on the navigation screen, perhaps with the cd or the card (mp4 files?)
A new luxury characteristic for the suspension. In the 2007 CR-V its suspension gives great handling and safety, but on bad road quality it can be a little uncomfortable (especially with the 18 inch wheels). Some new luxury cars have automatic configuration for the suspension or manual (comfortable, medium, sport etc) and also controls the height distance from the road surface. These perhaps in the next few years.
My little problems now are: the tailgate that needs strength to close. At the garage they fixed it but only lasted for a day. And a noise from the left at the back when I go over a bump diagonally.

Most new cars (sold in America) seem to be all "smoke free" cars. Many offere a "smoker's package" for something like $50 or so.

My complaint as well, but don't pad the door handles... get rid of them altogether, that would give you at least 2 inches of leg flop room. I would rather have the shifter up on the steering column, and let my other knee occupy that area as well. The shifter is cool no doubt, but none the less I would rather have it out of the way. The door handles are just absurd. Cool wears thin after a while, comfort never does. And absurd only gets absurder with every thunk of my knee on that stupid handle.

I think they need to make the "Old Coot" package. Normal door handles, no tiny useless storage compartments, the EX-L center console instead of that nitwit tray (so you can store your Lawrence Welk CDs), and a steering column shifter. Bigger and softer front seats.

I assume you are talking about the round decorative piece of the door handle? My knee rests against that as well and it's very uncomfortable after a short while. Maybe a set of accessory knee pads (CR-V Branded of course!!) would do the trick???

Another problem is with the emergency brake on the floor. When I try to extend my leg so that it rests on the foot plate, the emergency brake always gets in the way, and have to maneuver my foot so that it slides under the emergency brake. I've become quite good at it so it doesn't bother me much now, but I worry that in an emergency when trying to get out of the car really fast if it could cause problems and result in injury or worse.

LOL on the knee pads, color coordinated of course, unless you got an LX, Leather and heated on the EX-L. You're right about the emergency brake. I noticed it when I am sitting in the car waiting for my wife, and have the brake on. There is no place to put your foot. And by the way I was wrong about the stupid door handles. Get rid of them, move the window & lock buttons up higher and you would get an extra 4.5" of knee flop room. I think it should be a spec in Consumer Reports.
