Yeah, right here. Just picked up a cheap LX from Tony Honda. I just need to get some OEM alloys for it now.:)

NAVI ONLY works in the 48 contiguous states and is supposed to not be offered or sold in Alaska or Hawaii.

Good to see that there are other CR-V owners here in Hawaii. What are some mods that can be done to a CR-V?
-99 Red CR-V LX 4cyl AT. 130K just picked up for 5500.
Thinking of getting a new exhaust for mine and going to get some amber low profile foglights installed tomorrow. Working on getting the lighting done first and getting the car detailed to almost new status. Ordered front and back floormats from Tony Honda $90 and detailed and vacuumed the heck out of the interior(trying to get the dog smell out becuase of the newborn).
Exterior needs a bit of work. Heavily oxidized paint job. I need to find someone to take the oxidation out of the headlamp as well. I may just purchase new head lamps off ebay. Going with the hyper white bulbs and amber fog-lights. Already changed the liscence plate light to hyper white. I bought the hyper orange bulbs for the corner lamps but don't know where I put them. Maybe just buy more keep the recipt and return those bulbs when I find them. I don't want to spend alot of money on the car but just little things to help with upkeep and regular maint, and cheap performance. Spent about $280 on the tint job with warranty also.
Engine- stock LX 4 cyl AT. Just did an oil change and put in a K&N oil filter and K&N air filter. Helped a little. Not any noticeable power difference. Transmission kinda worries me though because of the miles it has on it. It sticks at times.
Again, good to see that there is a small CR-V network here in Hawaii. Is there any cruises. What are some event's that go on. It looks like everyone is pretty new here in Hawaii. Hit me back with any comments or if you have any ideas I'm all ears.

1. Valve adjustment.
2. Do a drain and fill on the tranny fluid, 3 times with only genuine Honda ATF
3. Headlight lenses are easily polished back to new. Meguire's makes a good polisher for them.

I don't know. Any maintanence past the warranty at the dealer would cost an arm and a leg wouldn't it??
I was going to get a tranny flush at the shell oil change station but they told me that it's full.
Not going to get the fog lights on today. Maybe just buy the hyper white bulbs and leave it at that.

Not going to get the fog lights on today. Maybe just buy the hyper white bulbs and leave it at that.My local dealer charges $100 for the valve adjustment and it includes a new valve cover gasket. If you have some engine knowledge and basic tools, it is easy to do yourself. If not, look for an independent mechanic that specializes in Japanese cars.
NEVER FLUSH a Honda tranny. They should have known that. The fluid being "full" has nothing to do with shifting performance in a Honda. Honda automatics like clean, fresh Honda ATF Z-1 fluid. Nothing else. This is very easy to do ones self. You don't need a jack or sockets. You only need a 3/8" ratchet and a long tranny fluid fill tube.
Before you get new fog lights, pick up a set of $20 pair Sylvania Silverstars headlight bulbs from AutoZone, Wal-Mart, etc. but only if the package says imported from Canada or Germany on it. The actual bulb should say "Osram" and "Germany" on the base. If not, they are the old ones that blow out real fast in Hondas.

Eh! Transplants count or what? I thought all the surfers back home were opting for the Element 'cuz your can pop the plug and hose it out.

BTW... anyone know what kine offset you can run on one V? I don't really care for the steelies, and I've always liked the deep dish look...
Anyway, see you guys around! :D

Checking in from Oahu! We have a '05 CR-V EX. What's a good shop to buy mods for this SUV?
