Has anyone hooked up DRL kits to a CRV? I have done it on an Odyssey, but I have no wiring diagrams for my newly purchased 2006 CRV. Help!

What year CR-V do you have? I have a 2007 and it came with daytime running lights...:)

TomThere are a number of after-market kits to do this. Try google or eBay.

Mine was 2006, but I got rid of it for a 2008 Pilot. As I understand it, Honda only makes DRL available on Canadian models. At any rate, I had the same problems on my Pilot, but solved by using the parking lights instead of headlights.

A question regarding DRLs... are they just the dipped headlights that come on whenever the ignition is on or do they replace the 5W parking light with a brighter bulb? How can I add something equivalent to my non-DRL UK spec 08 CRV? My only current option is to manually turn on parking or dipped headlights each time I drive the car. It is often foggy where I live so would quite like DRLs for safety.

DRLs on the 07 and up are the H4 bulb running at only 6 volts instead of 12v.

2009 Pilot has factory DRLs. You probably enjoyed the DRL thread on hondapilot.org. Some people wanted to get rid of it
