Two changes help the third generation CR-V- Honda engineers took the spare tire off the cargo door and tucked it into the trunk floor. This helps handling by lowering the center of gravity. They also redesigned the rear and changed the side opening door into an upward swinging liftgate. It not only helps Seattleites stay dry on drizzly days, it's more convenient when loading stuff to the curb in urban street parking.
