View Full Version : Interior trim removal?

anybody can help with this?
I'm mostly interested in door trim, upper glove box door, maybe vents.
any help it would be appreciated.

You want to paint the trim... don't you? :D There's a DIY that had to take apart the whole dash, maybe it will help, there's pictures:

Remember always check the DIY center. That's why i had it made, for stuff like this.

thanks for the reply and yes that's what I'm trying to do, but not decided what I will paint yet. door trims for sure, upper glove box compartment, maybe that area where is that blank cover and mirror switch behind the steering wheel and not sure on the air vents yet.
your link will help some, thanks for that, by the way it's a great diy, but I still need other diys too.
my wife is thinking red, to me doesn't seems the right color. I'm more into silver, but it's her car. eventually I will paint these on my VW also.

Rather than paint it, you should fabric wrap the pieces. Much easier to switch back to stock, and it has a really clean look. I started fabric wrapping everything with this plasticy looking stuff, and some suede. It's looking awesome. I have to paint some stuff, but you need a LOT OF PREP to get the paint to stick, otherwise it will just chip off.
