It's about the size of a deck of cards. I love em. I think they come in most handy with the restraunt search. Want something different and need to find it? This will take you right to the front door.:D

So it only goes off a charge all the time? Or can you leave it plugged in?

You can leave it plugged in. I have mine direct wired into the fuse box, so it comes on when I start the car and off when I turn the car off. It will run off the battery if you want it to be portable.

One more question, does it have a touch screen or something, or are there buttons you have to use on the side or back or anything? Basically, is all the functionality in the front of the device? Very important.

It's a touch screen. Very easy to use. You won't be disappointed if you decide to get one. When I got my first one, I thought they were the greatest thing they ever invented.:D
