Towing a 2001 CR-V

I recently bought a 2001 CR-V EX with 62K miles. It appears to have been owned by a retiree who has towed the CR-V behind a camper bus over the past 6 years. I noticed that the page in the owners manual with the towing instructions was dog eared so I suspect that he towed it in neutral.

Did the towing add miles to the odometer?

Any opinions on the wear and tear or lack of it resulting from towing in neutral?

The car is in excellent physical condition and an apparent good buy at $9,995 from a local Toyota dealer. The dealer originally listed the CR-V for $13,995, dropped the price to $11,380 and then to $9,995 after 6 weeks on the lot.

Loving the CR-V and looking for many good years of use as a round the town car for my high school age drivers.

The towing did not add miles to the odometer.
Wear and tear? Maybe, to the transmission if it wasn't followed religiously by the book.
That being said, unless you have verifiable maintenance records, you need to drain and fill the trans fluid and rear diff fluid and perform a valve adjustment. The lack of 30k valve adjustments is the Achilles heel of an otherwise great engine.
ps - NEVER FLUSH a Honda auto tranny.
