I see the under seat storage on the passenger side and for the life of me I cannot get it open. I pulled it from the front and from the back of the seat to no avail. I look for a button or a level and could not find one. The owners manual explains nothing on how to open it... ANY IDEAS????

I may be wrong, but didn't I read somewhere that the EX-L with Nav does not have a drawer under the seat?

According to my sales brochure the underseat storage is not available on NAV models. You're not missing much. It is only 2" deep, 9.5" wide, and 8.5" long. It is flimsy and flops out at an angle. I thought it broke the first time I pulled it out. I could not get 6 CD cases to fit into it. It wasn't deep enough to store my gps dash mount (I don't have the cash for the Nav model). It is rather disappointing.

While I really like this vehicle, I will have to admit that internal storage is not one of its strong points--unless you are storing packs of gum, in which case you will find many convenient cubby holes. The flip up tray between the front seats (which I thought was neat before I bought it) is disappointing as well. It offers no hidden storage. There is no good place other than the lower glove compartment or spare tire well to store 6 CD cases out of sight. I think the console offered on the EX-L should be standard and the flip tray an option. I do like having the floor open between the dash and the tray or console, although the shift selector (regardless of how spiffy it looks--mounted like the control stick to the forward guns within easy reach of the pilot or weapons control officer) does invade that space. That is flop space for my right leg especially when in cruise control. Another complaint is those gargantuan silver plastic handles on the door. Did Honda get that design from bank vault doors? The gigantic round thing at the bottom of the handle (apparently a cover for a two inch diameter retaining bolt--they don't want that handle coming loose) occupies the left knee flop space, and I am beginning to get an imprint on the side of my knee. When you get old, your body kind of likes to flop. I don't want a dead pedal--very cool of course--I want an extra 3 inches of horizontal knee flop space.

I would expect Honda to offer the 07's an optional center storage armrest like they did on previous year ones. I just checked http://www.handa-accessories.com/
for any new 07 stuff and didn't find anything. I wonder if anyone has tried the 05/06 center storage armrest for fit?

On ebay, there is someone selling a center storage console for the 2007 Cr-V except the navi version, link:

That's funny because I do use those locations for my gum packets
:)
And I personally like the door handles - they stand out when so many other door handles are flat & plain

Not sure I follow this. Sure they stand out? And the benefit is?

You like them because they are not flat and plain. Like them visually or functionally?

I don't have a 2007. So don't care one way or another. From reading posts it seems that many object to the size of them. Out of proportion.

I saw the post at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Honda-CR-V-Armrest-arm-rest-w-storage-2007-07_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33695QQihZ010QQitemZ 200116090843QQrdZ1

Dang! $128 for what appears to be a vinyl-covered box????

You would think that it would be better to have it at the same height as the regular armrests?

Benefit is purely asthetic. That seems to be the trend & it is OK to be somewhat "trendy";)
I don't know - I just like them in general, although there is room for some improvement

A pennytech solution for storage.

I was used to a large console for storage and the CR-V flip tray doesn't offer much.

Harbor Freight (and others I'm sure) sells fabric tool bags. I bought a small black one to put under the flip tray. In the bag I have a tape measure, tire gauge, leatherman tool, 12v phone charger, gps mount, gps, 12v cord for gps, mp3 player, aux input cord, sunglasses case, etc.

I think the bag was less than $5.

My CR-V has black interior so the black bag is not noticible under the flip tray. It can easily be removed and brought inside, etc.

Something to consider.

I too found the "bank vault" handles leap out at you like ****s on a bull.
After a week of suffering I got a local auto trimmer to cover in black leather, matched to the the black leather interior of my CR-V.
Not exactly an easy job ... but the trimmer did a great job.... dont notice them at all now :)
Also had a thin layer of soft synthetic rubber under the covering on the actual pull handle... gives it a comfortable feel. ;)
