We want the CR-V, but am waiting until the Fall to see if the 2008 models offer any changes and/or discounts on 2007s.

When will we receive word on the 2008s? For example, Honda just announced today that the Accord will no longer be offered as a Hybrid.

I don't want to see a lot of changes, but small things like the interior light, wiper blades, etc. would be worth the wait.

I highly doubt any changes. It is a big seller and Honda isn't known for making changes to an immediate hit.

Not even minor tweeks, etc?

Also, what are the chances of better financing? The best rate I can currently get through American Honda is around 7%.

Do you think there will be a 3.9% rate in the Fall or late Summer? Does Honda ever offer financing sales?

2008 models start production in August & should be hitting many showrooms by September (at least that's the time line right now).
I don't know of any moderate changes for '08. Odds are, if there are any, they would be minor like adding a new color, or something to that effect. There might be several material changes, but probably not anything visual. Being redesigns are usually 5 years apart, Honda usually does a slight "tweak" about 2-3 years into a model years (a refresher if you will) for a visual difference, but nothing major.
As far as financing goes, you might be able to get a few $ off an 07 when 08s come in if you can find a dealer having problems unloading 07s, but I doubt there will be any special financing over & above what's out there now.

05 tweak or refresher was fairly substantial w/ additional safety features and the 5 speed auto tranny ....

If something is needed (especially for safety) Honda will introduce it at any time, regardless of model year, last revision, etc.
And as 2REDV's said, it was a couple of years old, so the market dictated what was needed.

The 2007 is a hot seller being the most successful SUV in its class... Why would Honda lower the price if they can sell out at full price and get sticker + for the new 2008. Go make your best deal, there will be no change in 2008 and 2009. It is selling to well to throw money at it... 2010 you will see a little lip stick on the pig... ....just my guess, of course.
