I have a 2006 CRV which I bought new when it was cold outside last October. Now that it has warmed up the rear seat head rest rattles and the dealer says this is perfectly normal. Has anyone else had this problem? I drive an 18 year old SAAB and it doesn't have the rattles so i find it hard to believe that Honda would make a vehicle that has this ennoying problem.
This is reputed to be one of the most trouble free vehicles on the market according to Consumers Reports.

Go to another dealer or call Honda Corporate and tell them what the dealer told you (be polite, it helps)

I work for Honda specifically in interior seats, headliners & trim. A headrest rattle is NOT a normal design pripority (assuming it is the seat & not another interior trim piece). That dealer either is clueless or doesn't want to mess with the repair/replacement. Take it to another dealer & get it fixed.

I have to keep all the unused seat belt buckled because they rattle against the interior walls.

Hi, the same thing happened to me. At that point, only had the car for about 12 days. Was like what the...! So I buckled the back seatbelts and it stopped.

Something else I noticed this weekend: I had a rattle too. It drove me crazy until I figured out what it was. The buckles that tuck into the rear seat backs I used when I layed the seats down & forgot to place them back in their pockets

The center seatbelt in the ceiling retainer can rattle also if you don't get the buckle secured correctly.
