I haven't heard HD Radio yet, but alot of stations in the Washington D.C. area are starting to offer it. I wish that with all the technology and options that the CRV audio system has, they would have just gone ahead and thrown in HD Radio as well (oh and blue tooth also).

Has anyone had any experience with HD Radio? Is the sound quality as good or better than FM or XM? Although I would hate to have to bolt on an external accessory to the stock nav/audio in the CRV, is it worth putting one in? Are there any HD Radio add-ons that would work with the mp3 aux jack?

My friend added HD radio to his car and it sounds as good as XM. Good thing about HD is that you don't have to pay for it compared to XM and Sirius. But sound quality for all 3 is still not as good as CD.

Yeah, sound quality of XM is decent, but not CD Quality. What really rocks are the mp3's that I put on the 4GB Compact Flash card that gets inserted into the card reader. The music from those files are CD quality and sound great on the CR-V audio system.

I was checking Crutchfield to see if they make anything HD Radio related that would be able to go through the aux jack of the mp3 input, but haven't found anything. Maybe something will be released in the future.
