I never bought a used car before always brand new. I really want the 09 crv more then the 10"s for the pure fact I have to street park and worry about the new rims. I had my 08 honda fit rims stolen right in front of the house park on the street.

I found a minty fresh 09 exl awd with only 4500 miles on it up in PA which is about a hour away. car fax seems good but the dealer bought the car at a auction and not a trade in. Why did a person trade the car in with such low miles? There giving me the rest of the 3 years 36000 and 7 years or 100000 on the engine and trans. the car is the color that i love and tips. asking price is what the new ex 10's are going for. about 24500.00 to 25000.00 otd.
Any tips please.. What should I do???

You said the dealer bought it at an auction, not a trade in. That means the owner didn't trade it in, it was most likely a repo. They weren't making their payments so the bank went and got it, and then sold it in an auction. Happens all the time.

I would look up the value of this particular CRV on NADA.com and see what they say it's worth. And then work with the seller from that point.

It is also possible the CR-V did not meet the owners expectations or their needs changed and they traded it in for a vehicle of another brand at a dealer who does not sell used cars or doesn't have a market for the CR-V so off to the auction it goes. The dealer you want to buy this car from should have paperwork from the auction identifying the party who sold the car at the auction. If they did get the CR-V from another dealer they should have no problem showing you a copy of the supporting paperwork with the prices blacked out.

If not use caution. If the vehicle was a repo the owner may have complied and handed over the keys but if it also could have been towed improperly and damaged.
