Assuming I do the recommended maintenance of course ....
What say you guys? How long is my 'V' probably good for?

Just having a little fun.:D
Hard to say how long your's will last. I know a couple CR-V's with over 200,000 miles on them. Still look and run great.
If you treat it right, it will serve you for a long time.

A dealer told me that with the proper maintenance an 07 will go 300k with no problems. I wonder why the extended warranty doesn't go out to 250K.

I believe the 05's have been quite reliable, correct? 200-250K on a Honda is very reasonable these days. I've seen so many more people I know driving their cars into the 200K's. While it may not look or smell like new by the time you get to 300k, my guess is that with great care, it'll still get you from point A to point B rather safely and reliably.

If a dealer said that, it must be a fact. :D They're sworn to tell the truth.

Here is a rather interesting article at Edmunds regarding dealers. It is not short, but it is rather edifying.

I hope what you are saying is true. It is why I bought a Honda! Well the reliability, and the cool door handles.
