XM radio installation

I want to install an after market XM (the sportscaster) to my car. I was wondering if anyone has done that and where you placed the display? Also about the antenna and where it was placed.
I know that you can get it added on the actual radio unit, but for the money it just made better sense to buy a separate piece.

did you ever get this put in yet? i also have a ex and was just going to go the route you did,,,,just curious to see how you made out ..thanks , Mazz
