Exclamation Forum etiquette please read!!

Okay, users old and new, this is not a big deal on the forum, but lately we have been seeing certain things users are doing that are not exactly against the rules, but still are not allowed, or in some cases, are just rude.

First i would like to address using brightly colored or "FlaShy FoNt" these are not things we like to see, if you are using colored, large, or otherwise flashy font, please just use the plain, default text, unless highlighting simple phrases, or important parts of a certain sections of speech. Example of a good use of flashy font: "Dear jondoe123, a 2000 honda cr-v have a B20z2 engine with an axle ratio of 4.36:1." When somebody is trying to read the new posts on a thread, it is very distracting when flashy font it used, large or not. To prevent any further arguments, or issues regarding user's fonts, please discontinue the use of colored, large, or otherwise flashy font.

Second issue i need to cover is avatar and signatures. This is an issue that is in the rules, and not taken lightly. CR-V|OC is one of the leading CR-V communities in the world, and even Honda corporation its self monitors this forum, not to mention this is a family friendly and international web site, so the use of vulgar speech, pictures, and avatars are strictly prohibited. This is rather simple, keep it G rated.

Thank you for reading this, and im sure for most, this was not a surprise, but more or less a booster lesson on simple forum etiquette. If you have any questions or comments, please PM me or send an email my way. As a side note, for some users this is a final warning, I am not singling out any user(s) but if you have already been warned and or reprimanded regarding any issues i have covered consider this you last reminder before an infraction is issued.

Update 9/29/2009

This is an update regarding forum arguments and fights.

fighting, throwing stones, insults, and any arguments that get out of hand, will all be deleted immediately.

following the removal of any hateful or demeaning posts will result in (depending on seriousness) either an infraction, or immediate user name & IP banning.

seniority earns your no immunity to punishment and could work against you seeing as all senior members should know what is acceptable and what is not.

if you find this unfair please forward any concerns to myself, or another moderator.

thank you and have an amazing day.
