2008 Leather Seats

I just bought my CR-V EX-L with leather seats last night and one things bugs me.
I can feel seam on seat. I felt during test driving another CR-V a day earlier, but was not sure if it is not just in my imagination. My other car is Cadillac CTS and I can not feel it in there. I have not reported anything to the dealer yet.
I still hope that after a week or to it will disappear as seat will break in.
Does anybody else have same problem?

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum! I haven't really noticed it. But when I drive it next time, I'll try to pay extra attention to see if I can feel the seam. I hope your trouble will dissipate as time goes on. I am not sure if there is anything else you can do about it other than put a soft seat cover over the seat.

Yes, but I have not spend extra money for leather to cover it with fabric
I just hope that it will disappear once leather gets softer with use
I have felt to during test drive in different car - I hope that it is not whole lot of cars effected by that. I also have a Cadillac CTS and used to own Jeep Grand Cherokee with leather seats and I could not feel it in them.
Having said that other than that seats are pretty comfortable with good side support

Just purchased a EX-L, had the same sensation when sitting down at first, not so bad after you sit there for a short time but I can definitely feel a seam on the seat.
Thing is I did not feel that when I test drove a different EX-L (Ohio built) but its there with my vehicle (Japan built), could it be the source of the build. Honda could add an little more padding to the seat area for comfort.

We get our seats from a supplier. So my guess is that the seat suppliers are different from ELP and Japan.

And people, you got to remember, these are Honda's not Cadillacs. That's like comparing apples to oranges. Caddy's cost a hellof alot more than Hondas, so you will notice a differance in the quality of the seats.

Yep, I know
But I don't think it is because quality of material or workmanship - just unfortunate placement of the seam or its kind.

Does it work on vinyl too?

Anyone know what parts of the seat are leater and which are vinyl? The key word is "Leather Trimmed". Legally, only part of hte seating surface must be actual leather. I think at least the back of the seat and the side bolsters are vinyl. The bottom and center probably are actual leather.

I have about 5 jars of hide food and it does work well, but it's very hard to get off the seats after it's applied.
