heater blower not working properly

so, i guess 225k miles is about when a bunch of stuff starts going out on my crv! it is a 2002.

my heater blower has some problems. it only has about 3 or 4 speeds along the entire path of the dial and it won't turn off. could it be the resistor? the only reason i think it may not be the resistor is because it won't turn off, could a bad resistor cause it to stay on even in the off position?

thanks in advance for any advice!
