This new tow rating standard coming is coming very soon, and already used on Toyota 4runner. It will hopefully end many tow rating debates.

It is a standard which nearly all OEM's had a hand in, and will begin using for all 2011 models. This is an international standard, so hopefully it will end the USA vs other country debates too.

Do a search on it, there is a little more info about it. But the actual document is not yet published.
