It seems like a step down in the looks department to me and I was suprised when I opened the hood on my 2010 for the first time. I notice they went to a plastic intake plenum as opposed to a metal one.

Honestly, when it comes to looks, I like better 2009
as opposed to 2010. '09 looks better for me....

Exposed valve covers are cooler than plastic covers. Paint it, and you'll have something good. Mine looks like this:
