Not much illegal. Just been spending lots of time and money on the car. Yeah the seat is SUPER close. it just barely clears it, but unfortunately, to use the stock racks, it had to be in the same spot, and since it's wider than the stock seat it wound up like that. I'm still happy with it though. I'm sure in civics and stuff where these seats are meant to be, the pillars may be a little further back, and the seats are closer to the floor. This seat is about 7" off the ground.

Well, I put in an order for 3 more of the leather racing seats, and I should get them Saturday. I decided on building a jump seat console for the center, and since my significant other was worried about if we had kids, how to mount a baby seat, well, REcaro makes child seats. Go figure. Cool, I know, we'll get some if the need arises.

So instead of a bench in the back, it's going to be 2 lighter racing seats, and a jump in the center, kind of like you'd have on a single cab truck. I'll make the jump myself.

Anyone have any thoughts on my master plan, or know of any aftermarket bench seats that do not mount to a Jeep or are only meant for 2 people? Has to also be black leather, or leatherette.

The only problem I can see with the buckets in the back is the height of them. That will bring the passengers closer to the roof and will also change the lines of sight that you as a driver will have.

Totally on my mind when I thought of it, so I measured, and the seat headrests will sit 2" above where the headrests are now. They sit 36" off the risers. If anything, I'll have a greater view out the back as the headrests will have holes in them for the harnesses, and the headrests are further apart and I don't have that stupid center head rest in my way.

THAT, and I get to make my dream console. It will go all the way from the front of the car, to the trunk, and hip over the lip that sits over the gas tank, and then the top will be a folding jump seat.

Here's what I like to call the "Central Console" rather than a center console since it will run the length of the seat sets, you can see my jump-seat/cup holder-armrest idea I have for the back seat to fit a third person, much like a pickup truck in the days of yore. Two 4 inch speakers will be mounted in wedge bases on each side of the console facing away. The one on the left will be a right channel and the one on the right will be a left channel, giving each passenger in the back a dedicated speaker set an equal distance away from them. Or it may be a center channel, I haven't decided yet... Then the 6.5" sub at the front for my mid-bass up in the front are of the car, it fills in all the "holes" inbetween the subwoofer and my high-based speakers.

Also, Illegal, if you ever jump back on here, since the idea is to make it show worthy eventually, is there any issue with having all racing seats?

I see. I didn't know the measurements. I can't think of any issue with having all racing seats. The mounting of the seats my be a little difficult. But other than that, you should have no problem with it other than the middle seat belt having nothing to do.

Middle seat belt has been taken out of the ceiling and out of my life.
