Question 2006 Coolant low again?

Hi, my G/F has a 06 cr-v with about 30K miles on it already. Anyways, this is the second time within a year that her coolant looks really low. Granted its just about a 1/2 inch above the min line in the reserve tank. But we took it in a year ago to a honda dealer and the guy said it was low at that time and they topped her off, but they could not find any leaks.

EDIT: Chicagoland area, about 5 degrees F right now, car was driven for 30 min prior to coolant check.

Anyways, it's low again...and no leaks have ever been noticed. Now im pretty sure coolant does not evaporate very easily (im new to the red coolant), and there's no leaks, and the coolant is low again....what gives???

Dont get me wrong, the car is not overheating and her heat works fine...but im just in the dark about this and sick of her dragging me to the dealership so she dont get ripped off...women.

Anyways, sorry for babbleing and thanks for reading.
Any ideas???

Low Coolant

If the coolant is in between the min and max lines of the reservoir, the level is fine. Note that the level will change slightly with temp., both of the engine and the air.
One thing I find with new vehicles is it takes a long time for all the trapped air in the cooling system to be released - this can explain some of the noted coolant loss.
One question I have is this - in Canada, Honda long life coolant is Blue.
You mention Red coolant - I know that Toyota uses Red coolant, and GM uses Orange coolant.
Is Red coolant the long life coolant Honda uses in the USA ?
Perhaps the system has been flushed and refilled with a different coolant ?
