That beautiful Tango Red is begging you for some nice aftermarket wheels!

LX: the safest model

I bought the LX and thought the steel wheels look better than plastic covers in some other car's base models and I don't need to worry about scratches and cleaning too much. The LX gets the same performance and safety features as upper models which I cared most. Besides, it comes with a safety feature that other models don't: without sunroof, the LX body structure is the most rigid and safest of all!

In Oz we have the models called CRV, CRV- Sport, and CRV Luxury.

i see LX, Ex etc and have not idea, which one mine is ( base standard version)

main reason is to make sure i have the correct model number in my profile

cheers

LX is the North American base model. Steel wheels, no sunroof, etc.

EX comes with alloy wheels, sunroof, etc.
EX-L is an EX with leather and some other misc. goodies.

My 2007 CR-V has just had its first service. I had a shufty round the showroom whilst waiting.

On both the ES and EX models, I noticed that the stalks were labelled differently for the fog light functions, the variable speed wiper was now notched with 4 positions and it would appear that the headlight washers work with the press of a button to the left of the steering column and not automatically if you wash the windscreen with the lights on.

As these are all interior things. I don't think there is any way to readily tell the 2 years apart.

Gordon.

In the Middle east we still have the 3 classes but with different equipments:
RVi is the base model: identical to LX
RVSi (Cloth) is fully loaded but no leather & no power driver seat (EX).
RVSi (leather) is the EX-L but no navigation.

The sales manager told me every car in its class did not have a navigation & people were not ready to pay extra for it. Here our V's are made in Japan. '07 & '08 are identical in every aspect. We have got the mirror signals but not powered. Obviously we don't have heated seats or heated mirrors but we do have dual (extra powerful) Ac. We also lack the Tango Red
I bough a CRV yesterday but have not received it yet. RAV4 is 3 K ($) more in price for exactly the same equipment as EX. We don't have a V6 or turbo here. the out lander has less storage capacity & the X-trail is plain ugly.
I can help with more details about cars status here is you are interested
Have a good day

I think I also noticed that the antenna on the '08 CRVs have a sort of spiral design around it. For the '07 CRVs, it's just straight. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

EX-L's have X M radio has the Spiral External antenna .... without X M has a plain ant. ....

On the Civic's, rear mounted ant is Hybrid Civic , with the spiral it has Navigation ...
