For a similar comparison, Edmonds website also has a price comparison that takes regional differences into account.
Also lets you know what, if any adjustments are made for color.
Hi,

thanks for the feedback. You're correct in that it's not a fair apples to apples comparison since the site computes rank based on all trim levels.

Certain trim levels are in higher demand, thus resulting in worse deals. I have thought about this and have concluded that I will need to get 200+ submissions before splitting the rankings by trim levels. Otherwise, there just wouldn't be enough data to make it useful. I'll add that feature once we get enough prices submitted for the CR-V.

As for regional differences, again, we need more prices, but once we get that, you can sort prices by city or state, thus seeing the exact prices in your area.

Edmunds has a True Market Value that you can use to get an idea of what people are paying on average. The only problem is that it is the average. You don't know what the best deals people are getting. Hopefully realcartips will help with that. Every little bit of knowledge helps in my opinion.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted a price so far!

To make a fair apples to apples comparison, we need to know the price of the car before taxes, title, doc fees and any other add-ons such as warranties, insurance, etc.

It's basically the negotiated price for the car.

Hi Soia76 - What dealership did you purchase your car from? I'm looking in the South Jersey area and can't get a price under $24,000. Any more info is greatly appreciated. Was it 2 or 4 Wheel Drive.

Thanks!

$21,000 for an CRV LX AWD.

I was going to buy another Element but they didn't have any NBP in stock.

I hope the CRV is as economical as my Element. I drove my 2006 for 51,000 miles for just under $5,000 in two years. I paid $16,987 for the Element in 8/2006 and got $12,000 on the trade in 8/2008.

Not too bad. My wife gets the new CRV and I take her 2006 Pilot.
