PCV valve on 2006 auto

is the pcv valve a reg maint item to be done at 30000 miles? the valve is in a very tight spot the clamp on the hose on the valve is facing down any suggestions would very helpful thanks sgt.

The PCV valve is not a regular maintenance item. Unless you are experiencing excessive oil burning or trouble with fouled plugs/miss fires (OBD codes P0300 - P0304), you should not have to pay any attention to it. Your 06 should be much too young.

If your PCV valve does malfunction, many times it can be salvaged by cleaning. The other side of that story, however, is that they are cheep so why clean it when you can so easily replace it.
