curt installed w/pics

got the hitch thursday and installed it today.
took me an hour. the muffler rubber hangers were a pain. i have undercoating and the hangers were completely coated so it was hard to remove.
the whole hitch was heavy and it's better if you have a spare set of hands to help you.
best if you can jack up your car or somehow raise it up by around 6 inches, gives you more room to work under.

Looks good.

I just noticed your "ramps" are similar to a set I made, years ago. I just used a 4x4, 4 feet long and used a saw to cut a "ramp" on one end.

I noticed that your V is dirty but you took extra care to polish the exhaust tip before you took pictures....

Thanks for the pics. Hopefully my Itachi_san will have the same hitch in a week or so.

Oh Man! I used two smiley faces in the previous post. Hope my fellow curmudgeons don't find out.

I'll just lay off the icons for a while.

Why so many photos of the same thing? Am I missing something about your hitch or is 10 photos a little overkill?

thanks.

i use those ramps all the time for oil changes or sliding under cars to just look around/inspect etc.
the tip is only about 2 weeks old. it was polished and waxed before installation so it looks shiny even when the car is dirty.

bcoz im trying to show the hitch from different angles and different distances to help other members who may want to buy the same hitch.
when i was doing my research for this hitch, i could only find maybe 1 or 2 pictures from each member who installed it and no close up pics. from those pics, i cannot tell whether i will have room to clean the bumper, how close it is to the bumper, is the hitch sticking out of the rear bumper or is it lined up with the rear bumper, how does it look from the back, how does it look from side and on and on and on and on and on.

so, i took a few pics to show other members and hopefully help answer some questions they may have. i didnt post the pics to show how sexy or how good it looks. there's nothing worst than trying to buy something online and you cannot find any real world pics to show how it looks.

jeprox,

I appreciate you including a lot of pics in your post. Your pics helped me decide on the Curt vs some others.

Thanks again.

X2 - the more the better. Pics are always appreciated (by most) and yours certainly show all the areas of concern!
