I tried the above mentioned methods....

a) Walmart change cup
- it's a cheap and flexible solution...my problem is I live and work in areas where break-ins are common. (druggies would break my window for any amount of change so showing your change in the cup holder (even on the driver side door space) is not the best solution.

b) little 'space' on the armrest
-same problem with visibility of $....

c) little 'pocket' on the left hand side of the steering wheel....
- same problem with visibility of $ and the coins always commit suicide by jumping to the floor....

I do have a EX-L so now I just use that retangular space next to my cup holders in the center console.....

I ran into the same problem with places to put my coins, after trying different spots including the center try I ended up putting them in the area on the door arm rest.
