Welcome To The Club!

Do you mean the license plate frame? Also where are you located? The UK may have far different frames than the ones used in Maryland or Ohio.

Welcome to the club and good luck with your project.

Interesting Problem!

Here is a really crappy diagram of the parts:

San Leandro Honda Online Parts

I didn't get a front plate frame with my V so I don't have a good feel for what it looks like. But looking at the car I found no center indicators on the front bumper for holes. On top of that, directly behind the plastic bumper is a piece of styrofoam about 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick. The steel is behind that. There are two cut outs under the bumper that don't seem to have a purpose. I don't have clue!

Lizzurd, how do mount all those Ontario front plates up in Canada?

If you would be willing to pay for the shipping I have one that I took off my CRV when I bought it. Kansas does not require a front license plate so I didn't what that thing sitting on my bumper empty.

By law, the state you bought the vehicle in needs to provide you with one if there state requires a front plate.

Instructions?

Badgerland, does your frame have instructions? If so can you scan them or post how the frame mounts? I am curious as well.

I never thought of it but I didn't get a front plate frame. Any other car I have bought had the frame in plastic bag in the trunk. We don't use front plates in Pennsylvania.

There were no instructions as this was already mounted to the front bumper when I bought the car. (We had to replace our minivan that blew an engine on X-mas eve morning at 1:30am on our way home for the holiday- we weren't planning on a new car at the time).

You have to make a small pair of holes in the bumper and it bolts right up. I would think that a dealership would do this for you gratis...but then again I still believe in the oil change fairy.

Bolting Method

Was it just sheet metal screws tightened into the styrofoam or did it have long screws that went into the steel bumper?
