Seats

The seats in my 07 have good lower back support. Due to the fact my back is largely trashed, I find the seat comfortable. When I first got the car, the seats seemed hard to me. But now I like them.

I don't recall of Honda making any claims regarding the seat. I believe the 08 leather seat has a lumbar adjustment. I don't know about the 07.

07 Leather owners opinions needed.

The 07 does NOT have a lumbar support. I personally find them comfortable but my wife does use one of those foamy back support thingy. On thing I wanted to ask other 07 owners...is the left side of the drivers seat (for those with leather) looking really "crushed" in comparison to the right side? I think we are sliding in on it and it looks much more wrinkled than the rest of the leather.

My Mom finds her 2008 LX CR-V's seats to be VERY comfortable for her. I, like your wife, drive with one of those "pillows." But, my pillow is a $13 bar seat cover from one of the big home goods stores.

As for your seat wear, that is VERY likely due to the method of entry used and Honda's use of poor bolstering material.

You lost me here. What would you expect them to say about the seats? That there are comfortable? Wouldn't you not assume that with any new vehicle? And are they in fact really comfortable for everyone? I doubt it.

But glad you like them.

The CRV seats are very comfortable. And my aging mangled back stops hurting when I sit in the V.

I don't know is this is a testimony to the CRVs comfortable seats but here goes: My grandfather and I would sometimes sit in his car on summer evenings and listen to baseball games. The other night the home AC went out and I decided to spend a while in my basement garage. I soon found myself sitting in the V, with a beer, trying to find a baseball game to listen to. Well I settled for a couple of hours of classical music, and some more beer. I think all this was legal. I was sitting in my own garage (albeit in my car) without the motor running, listening to the radio. I can do that can't I?

Anyway, I realized the CRV seat is more comfortable than the chair in my den. And then I received a manly inspiration. What if I move the home theater equipment to the garage and hang an LCD TV from the rafters right in front of the windshield? That way I can watch ballgames and concerts and such in complete comfort. And what if I replace the chop saw with a small fridge? That way I could reach right through the window and get beer. There are additional possible tweaks, but you get the idea.

Now I agree that if there were still any women in the household (apart from Layla the dog that is) I would not be able to contemplate this great project. But there aren't. So guys (I use the term "guys" in an "exclusitory" sense) what do you think?

You're not the only one, mine's like that also, but it's not that bad. Sliding in and out of the seat causes the leather to wrinkle.

Sort of sad at the quality of the seats. I had a 1999 minivan with leather seats (GM) and after 177k the seats looked almost as good as the day we picked it up from the dealership. It seems like the Honda doesn't have the "filling" needed in the seat to help keep the bolster firm and this has caused the 'wrinkling" oh well.........

I noticed that my leather seat arm rest on the drivers side looks kinda melted. I will take pictures tomorrow. I am disappointed in the leather job as well.

Also, my passenger seat feels like the right side nut in the rear of the seat where it bolts to the floor is loose or off. I leaned on the seat to get something out of the back and it moved and I felt the screw groves when it did. Gotta have that looked at.

I have the cloth seats and I haven't noticed wear yet, but I fully expect it. The bolsters seem too high and thin. I have tried to get my sorry butt into the car without sliding across them but with the trashed back, and general old age, I find it difficult not to slide across the bolster when getting in.
