A New Study Says Passengers Might Not be as Safe as Drivers in a Crash

Jun 23, 2016 - 2:09 PM - by

A new study has been conducted to see how passengers fare in the event of a collision and the results are not reassuring.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) added the small overlap front crash test in 2012 to determine how well a driver is protected in the event of a frontal crash. Now its conducted initial tests out to find out how well passengers are protected in a right-side small overlap crash. The study found that good protection on the driver side doesnt always extend across the front seat to the passenger side.

To test how well vehicles held up, IIHS conducted 40-mph passenger-side small overlap tests on seven small SUVs that received a good rating on the driver-side small overlap test. Surprisingly, only one vehicle performed at the same level, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson. The rest of the vehicles ranged from poor to acceptable, despite getting a good rating on the driver-side test.

2017 Honda Ridgeline Review

Hondas small pickup is returning to the market in 2016 after taking a short hiatus, with many of the essentials staying the same as the previous generation truck. The Ridgeline continues to be a unibody vehicle riding on fully independent suspension, packing a bed that features a trunk and dual-hinged tailgate.

But Honda knew that its

2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Interior Spied

May 04, 2016 - 2:25 PM - by AdminSupport

Something else weve noticed is the reduced camo around the signature C-shape taillights which looks distinctly like the ones from its sedan sibling if the black tape beside it is any indication. Both taillights may be connected by a spoiler or maybe a light bar similar to the Civic Coupes. Additional thin red slats can be found under the taillights. They could possibly be just reflectors or rear fog lamps.

One more item to point out are the rear door windows. Theyre not curved anymore compared to the 8th gen civic hatchback and the tip thats is covered may or may not be glass. For all we know, thats a large piece of door trim.
