What I did as soon as I got my 2019 was:

    - add a subwoofer and amp (JL audio w3)

-replace all 4 door speakers with maximos

-installed a 4 channel amp behind the head unit to power the speakers.

-install Honda hack to get rid of the Dsp in the head unit, as well as use viper4android to tune the system with EQ

-removed the active noise cancellation module

Did you use wiring kit connecting the amp from the headunit for the remote and speakers?

I just spliced my amp in between the output of the head unit to the speakers.

Remote? Are you asking for the amps power on feature? I spliced that to the aux on wire to the head unit.

Nice! What 4-channel amp did you use? WPC output? And how did you power your tweeters? Sub size and power? Did you upgrade your battery to a larger one? How is it so far? This sounds similar to my plan for my '07, except that I will be using an aftermarket head unit. I'm also going to a size 24 battery.

That is one sweet idea. The only problem is you would have to cut a hole through the floor board and the rubber mat (if you have one). I am not sure how this would work when your carrying items in the back.

    Kac-m1804 4 channel amp.

I just ripped out the tweeters and used components.

    500watt for the sub.

Sounds great. Gets super loud and I hurt my hearing every day. No battery issues with stock

Nice! My plan is a similar amp but an 8-inch under-seat powered sub. You should stop overpowering your ears, or you'll wind up like me, about half deaf. Which is why I need to overcompensate with a more clear audio system. Life can sound muddy and muffled, but I need the music to be clear.

I did some frequency response tests fro my EXL Head Unit after installing Pioneer TS-A652C speakers.
I tried to test how the mini equaliser works by measuring the response with all settings set to 0 (middle point) then with the bass max and min, midtones max and min and treble max and min.
I then did a standard test with all settings in the middle for the rear speaker.

    a few observations:

    1. It is obvious that the rear speaker have the low frequencies heavily attenuated, besides being less loud. I tested both left and right speakers with similar results. If anyone thinks about tapping an active subwoofer, then it must be linked to the front speakers. I have to do try that, hopefully this weekend.

    2. The bass correction is is impacting frequencies between 40 and 1kHz centered around 200Hz

    3. The mid range correction spans roughly between 1khz and 4khz

    4. The high frequency correction kicks in above 4Khz.

To folks who've changed the speakers - did you have to cut anything around the oem speaker grill inside the door liner? Crutchfield insists - even after talking to them - that we have to cut around the built-in door grill to fit the new speaker with the universal mount. Pioneer on the other hand tells me all I have to do is cut the tabs off the universal mount and it will fit but neither of them were sure for the gen V CRVs.

Anyhow that's the main thing keeping me from grabbing the new speakers - i'm not keen on cutting into a very expensive to replace door liner. thanks for any info.
