I was looking over the owner's manual and on Page 91 it talks about a small, red blinking light on the right side of the instrument panel (next to the right blinker arrow).
Under the "On/Blinking" column it reads: "Blinks if the immobilizer system cannot recognize the key information." Under the "Explanation" column it then reads "Repeatedly blinks - The system may be malfunctioning. Have your vehicle checked by a dealer."
The very next page has a picture of the exact same indicator and calls it the "Security System Alarm Indicator" -- Explanation "Blinks when the security system alarm has been set."
So which is it? I have a blinking red light and I'm not sure if my security alarm is activated or if I need to get it checked out! Is it the latter only my car won't start after hitting the "Start Engine" button?
