Had new 2019 CRV 5 days and battery dead

We have had our new 2019 CRV Touring 5 days but not driven for the last 2 days. Battery dead and when recharged will not start and all safety systems indicating not working and presumably need hard reset. Sees like engine not getting gas as turns over but no ignition, not flooded apparently? Anyone had this problem dealer says my wife didn't push the button to turn the car off properly which she claims is not true.

A couple people have reported similar.

    1. The battery may in fact be bad
    2. The pedal switch may be bad and not detecting the pressing
    3. Your wife may need to do more leg lifts to put enough pressure on the pedal to start it.

I wonder how you could turn the car off "improperly"? You push once, and it goes from running to just-like-taking-the-key out. You gotta push it again if you want to run down the battery.

One thing I forgot to add,

    4. Did you happen to use the emergency brake?

Mine falls outside of the VIN for the update and the E-brake killed my battery one night.

Hummm.........did you tell the dealership the motor cranks but won't start/run? Dead batteries don't crank motors over.

    It's a bit odd.
Has me thinking an interior light or similar was left on.

I thought the lights automatically turned off after X minutes.......to prevent excessive battery drain.

If you turn it on manually it will stay on.

I have same problem with my 19 CRV. Dead battery after sitting idle for 1 day, wouldn’t take a boost, towed to dealership found nothing wrong. 5 days later it had a dead battery again, still at dealership 3 days later. My coworker has exact same problem as me except on his second visit they changed battery,it has since died and is at dealership now
