Sharing a bit of Trail riding with everyone!

Last week I had my '97 V well off the beaten path in an area near my home that is notorious for offroading. It's mostly pickups and Jeeps that frequent the trail, so I entertained a lot of "Turning Heads" when I showed up in a Honda.

My first stop was a place called "Swift Rapids"
Swift Rapids Road, Ontario - Google Maps

This is a 15km section of trail that leads through some amazing back country scenery and mildly technical navigation.

Also visited was a spot of land near Magnetawan, Ontario. Certainly more technical and more fun!

Here are some pictures of my adventures!

    LOVE THE PICS
    ahaha dirt is sexy! nice!

I can't wait to find some unpaved roads to take pics on.
I'm guessin if I go north (from toronto) for an hour or 2 I'll find something.

The "Swift Rapids" road is easily navigatable by your V. Its about 30 mins North of Orillia Ontario and the trip into the rapids is not scary, just fun! The trip from the end of the main road to rapids will take you about an hour at about 30km/hr avg.

Here is a video of the toughest crossing I had to do on this trip. No problems:

Stock height indeed. I haven't measured it, but what is it, around 9 inches?

I'd like to get that exhaust pipe raised up a little where it crosses the drive shaft. I've seen the same exhaust height drop on other Gen1 V's. Maybe I'll start a new post elsewhere. lol.

Dude, that's not a water crossing. That's a puddle on a dirt road. WTF?

    Todd05CRV:

lol! You're right... it is actually not as challenging as a true water crossing. Were it a true water crossing, I probably wouldn't have hit it doing 60! That point on the trail is actually called "The Water Crossing" as in the springtime, the lake rises up over the road to about 2.5 to 3 feet in most spots. At this time of year, its just fun to splash around in as in my video.

    Alpine:

They are indeed the Scorpion ATR's. What a magical set of rubber. They really are the best set of rubber I have put on any vehicle, bar-none. Had 'em for just over 3 months now, on and off road. I'm just sorry I couldn't get the whitewalls on my size!
