      I like the way it mounts behind the removable dash panel. I'm not excited about the magnet but I bet there's a way to get a similar "cradle" mount to this one (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08T1DXLLD/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3RKU3VGYUTE2O&th=1)

      For reference (and yes, I've read through), here is another thread which is now closed:
      

      

      What are you using for mounting your cell phone?

      I tried a vent mount, but the lower legs rested on the touch screen. Can't legally use a windshield mount in the middle of the windshield in California.

      It sounds like the most popular cell phone holders for the Gen 5 either stick onto something or fasten to the vents. I'm looking for something different. Has anyone tried this product? It's a little more expensive but I really like the idea of how it mounts to the side of the removable panel on the dash:

      My only thing is I'm not a big fan of the magnet mount. I imagine that means I need to attach a magnet to my phone? Do you think I could jerry-rig it to attach to a phone holder like this:
