If this was 2019 with 20k miles you should fix everything. However, an 8 year old car with 100k is approaching fast it’s useful life from economic perspective. I am sure a CRV will run for 25 years with original engine and transmission if maintained properly, lots of DIY and avoid repairs at dealers.

I would advice to change the spark plugs yourself, leave valves alone if they are no unusual noises and use an oil sealer for the leaks. This oil sealer worked very well for me and saved me an $900 front cover replacement. ATP AT-205 oil sealer.

Scotty Kilmer loves the AT205. I haven’t been able to get it myself in Canada to try it 😭

I only know the first generation. They recommend adjusting valves as preventative maintenance and no noise may indicate right valves. The price I was quoted the one time I asked about it was rediculous so I never did it. Finally figured out how to do it myself. The jury is still out on whether it did any damage (compression ok but burns some oil).
