  1. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Haven't had a repeat of the "stalling out" while trying to simulate the problem a few times. The windshield is OEM; issue is definitely the lights. Drove the car the other night and now the lights do not dim automatically so oncoming drivers really love me.
  2. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Thank you, but this issue is too serious to pass on and as of yesterday the vehicle has decided to stop in zero traffic at the bottom of a hill at 10 am. Our 2017 F250 is going to have to do double duty until Honda issues the recall.
  3. 2017 CRV Screens Stuck on Full Brightness

    Problems & Issues
If you depend on AHM for any resolution, give up. My 2019 CR-V has a serious issue at night. I, too, have to watch closely for deer because the upper half of my windshield goes black. This has been going on for months with a combination of deception and incompetence to the point my case has...
  4. 2002 Accelerator/Throttle Cuts Out Intermittantly

    Problems & Issues
Oh how I miss the dependable manual transmissions! Forced to try my first automatic when manuals became extinct (or maybe by special order only). At 260K miles, I'd expect some burps, but my 2019 CR-V just did this yesterday at 8900 miles! I was heading uphill into a small town at 30 mph when...
  5. Need Good Honest Buying Advice .....???

    Problems & Issues
I've been addressing strangers in parking lots about their Honda CRVs and other SUVs since the door has been slammed in my face regarding my 6-month-old 2019 by Honda Motors. Sounds like the 2020 has the same potpourri of problems as the 2017-19 (as well as a history going back several years)...
  6. Automatic braking - 2019 CRV EXL

2017 - Present Official Specs, Features, Etc. (Gen
As an add on to my previous experience with the brake detection system, I suspect it may not view empty cardboard boxes as a threat. A density/weight detection factor may be part of the equation. Just a plausible guess.
  7. Automatic braking - 2019 CRV EXL

2017 - Present Official Specs, Features, Etc. (Gen
With all its faults, such as the windshield blackout at night, the auto breaking system DID prevent my 2019 CRV from rear ending a car in front of me with no brake lights and avoiding a multi-vehicle pile up. I was in a solid flow of fast moving passing lane holiday traffic on the NYS Thruway...
  8. Windshield Distortion

2017 - Present Official Specs, Features, Etc. (Gen
It's now 2019 and the defect has only gotten worse! Could be glass, lights, slope of the hood or anyone's guess. Just know Honda refuses to take responsibility. Hope this links you back to my story. Will follow to see if you were able to resolve your situation. DISGUSTED
  9. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Not a reflection; not a tint; top half of windshield just goes totally black. As soon as I can get the attention of a busy 7 yr old, I'll post a picture. Otherwise, I'm permanently lost in a cloud on my I-phone!
  10. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Oh my gosh! I am going thru this very same problem with a brand new CRV-EX and everyone thinks I am the problem until I convince them to drive it themselves at night! Then I'm advised to return the car to Honda for one without the "defect"! That's much easier said than done! I've been denied...
  11. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
I have supplied so many pictures to Dealership owner & staff, Lemon Law Attorney, and personal attorney. Dealership reported to Honda Motors "there are no recalls and lights meet federal safety requirements " (although the headlights are only rated Acceptable vs. Good) and therefore the car is...
  12. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
THANK YOU PCB! Finally, someone understands and you just saved me the expense of replacing the 2019 EX lights with 2019 Touring lights. I've actually been desperate enough to consider that step if the independent service recommends it. Now I know it won't make any difference. REALLY...
  13. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
The story just gets worse. First HONDA Motors rejected my case with them based on my dealer's assurance that the windshield and lights meet required federal safety standards. NOT! Now a NYS Lemon Law legal firm has also rejected my case, saying the "flying rock" was the cause of the visibility...
  14. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Thanks all for your input. Really like the recommendation of CarBuff2. The lights were raised slightly but I don't believe anyone was in the vehicle! The windshield was originally suspected because it was a replacement at 1600 miles (a flying stone shattered the original) and was discovered...
  15. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Pretty sure the 2019 has LED but will certainly look into this. A master mechanic did tell me problems started in 2017, including with his wife's Infiniti. Maybe 2020 is the fix, but someone certainly has done a good job hiding the problem. Thank you so much for your suggestion. So grateful to...
  16. Low Beam Headlight Visibility Impairment

    Problems & Issues
Am I the only owner of a new 2019 Honda CRV-EX-L who feels unsafe driving at night due to headlight problems? I purchased my new vehicle in June. (Previously leased the 2016 model for 3 years from same dealer and LOVED it!). I live in a rural area and am accustomed to frequent long distance...
