I have found YouTubes on the 1.5l, but not the 2.4l. Do they both have a "skid plate cover" to remove to access?
  2. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
Just Recieved This From Honda I just received this mail from Honda. Dated December 2018 - no day listed. Seems to be something they have or will be sending to all 2017-2018 CR-V owners. It is a Product Update: 2017-2018 CR-V for Software Update with A/C Control Unit Replacement; DTC P0300...
  3. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I've had my EX-L NAV just under a month now and I see that the mpg reading on the display is very optimistic. At least 5 mpg better than actual. My display generally reads about 41 mpg this includes the current and history of trip A displays. (all the displays by Honda) I'm actually getting...
  4. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
Although our 18 has 500 miles. Just curious if anyone has ever cleaned their intake valves with some type of GDI cleaner through the break master cylinder vacuum line?
  5. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
What is the installation torque of the oil filter on the 2018 CRV 1.5L? I know many still use the hand tight rules they have used for years but times are changing. I got used to torqueing the filter on my RAV. I was confident that it was done to spec. Though tight it always came off with no...
  6. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I have seen 2 work orders where the dealer claims to have used 5 qt.s of 0W-20 oil (1 on my car and 1 from a poster on Facebook). My owners manual claims capacity is 3.7 qt when a new filter is used. In my case the dipstick showed it was not overfilled. What is with the 5 qt claim?

Hey all, looking for good quality performance chips for my 2017 CRV 1.5L. I know it's a CVT and just a 1.5L but I already have an after market air intake (not cold) and just want to spice it up a notch. I'm not planning on doing anything crazy but a chip is always simple and the value is great...
  8. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
Good day all! Curious to know what CRUSH WASHER must be used for the oil drain bolt. Been getting mixed numbers from 3 different Honda Deals... Thank you.
  9. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I was detailing under the hood and the engine is so tiny, it's scary.:)
  10. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
.....on top of the valve cover, is it just a silencer and sticker holder?
  11. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I'm considering buying a 2017 CR-V Touring model with the 1.5L engine but I don't want it if it comes with a start/stop feature that kicks in when sitting at a stop light. I know a lot of cars are being released with this technology but I don't want a car that is constantly turning off and on...
  12. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I heard it all. hope you enjoy, here are some other first oil changes. These are oil changes, I done enough in my life time. If you need hel, just ask, I owned a turbo before and I changed oil at every 1500 mi. that was in 1984, the Mitsubishi Starion ESI, I also had a 2nd...
  13. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I apoligize if already asked, but when I pulled the ATF "dipstick" to check fluid level, there was nothing there but a small ribbed rubber butt-plug. There was no extending measuring rod at all..just the short rubber plug over the transmission fill tube. Can anyone verify that this is normal...
  14. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
Dear all: This is my first post and my first brand new honda. Diving right into the topic of the day, I'm looking for your opinion on a cold air intake and/or short ram intake. I'm not looking to produce an obscene amount of power in this car, just a little boast to get the engine to it's...
