  1. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
Am planning on replacing most of my AC system in steps. First evacuating, then several days later replacing under the dash, then several days later another part etc. The question is, will it be drive-able in between steps? Will any of these steps cause the condenser to lock? The belt to freeze?

  3. Diesel CR-V
Hi I have 2006 CR-V ctdi 2.2 When I select 2nd gear it sometimes stiff and gets better when warmed up. Sometimes I feel a jolt during the change up to 2nd gear - no problems switching down to 2nd. Is there a way of lubricating the shifter socket joint without having to tear down the whole...
  4. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Is there a issue with these? I decided to keep calling Honda Roadside instead of jumping it myself. One tow driver thought the FOB's were too close so we moved them to the back of the house. New battery still died. Is there a known phantom drain? Dealer told me to buy a trickle charger...my...
  5. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
Hello y'all! I've recently changed out the battery for my 2015 CR-V SE (For you guys wondering what the hell SE is, I'm pretty sure it's a just special edition for Canada, in between LX and EX) for the 2nd time, and the infotainment screen is asking for a pin. Now I've already searched the...

I like to sound proof/dampen my 06 CRV with Noico or Dynamat, unless someone can recommend a better/cheaper material. I want a quieter interior. Specifically I'd like to insulate engine noise. But anyway, my budget and skill is limited. I don't want to tear the whole car apart. But what are the...
  7. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
I have been experiencing a heavy rev'ing noise in 2nd & 3rd Gear in my '14 CR-V; seems to occur frequently going up hill....any other experiences/solutions?

So it's been decided, the Odyssey though we love it, certain things are just too expensive to keep fighting with. AKA the power sliding doors. Plus problems with door jam switches and random little crap. Powertrain is amazing and never a hiccup. Not to mention fast as hell for a minivan...
  9. Off The Beaten Path
Hello friends! I've been lurking in the comments for repair how-to's for too long, it was time to jump in. This isn't much to add besides some love for a good old CR-V and some off roading adventures, plus a little video. I bought my first CR-V from a family member for $500, same price the...
  10. Greetings & Introductions
Hello all! I've been a long time lurker, but this is my first post here. Just bought an '18 EX-L in blue with grey interior. It's our 2nd CRV in 19 years. We bought our first blue EX new in '99. It had 17 miles on it when we picked it up, and just recently turned 230,000. We got our '18 with 23...

  12. Greetings & Introductions
Bought this car with 60k miles around 2 years ago, now around 85k. So far I've replaced front struts (weird because noises seemed to come from the rear), spark plugs and rear brakes. The new plugs seem to have increased my MPG slightly (around 22 MPG on the highway). Recently started having...
  13. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
My 2014 CRV AWD with 82k mi is periodically lurching into 2nd gear. Doesn't happen all the time - maybe once or twice during a 15 min ride about town. Any ideas what is going on?
  14. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
My CRV is 21 months old with 11,000 miles. I scheduled second service because My oil life is at 20%. Other than the oil change, what other service items should I do? I don’t want to pay for unnecessary service. Thanks
  15. Gen 3: 2007-2011 (UK 2008-2012) CR-V
Just bought a nice looking 2010 EX, 134k miles The one key was hard to remove and it broke off the key fob.... then, today the 2nd key got stuck in ignition and could not get it out for a good while.. I know Honda has had issues with ignitions..... recalls etc.. any thoughts? thanks
  16. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Currently at 21,000kms. First oil change was at 10,500kms. Had another oil change due to the oil level being too high - at 17,500kms. On the maintenance reminder it says A 1 9. So oil change, tire rotation & 9 being: Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids Service front and rear brakes...
  17. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
I'm starting to wonder about these windshields. My 2018 CRV is 6-months old with 6k miles. I'm about to get my second windshield replacement. Both times, flying rocks on the interstate from passing vehicles. First time, crack was 7-8 inches long, windshield replaced with Honda OEM Glass...
  18. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
I've got a 2005 CR-V 4WD SE, 180K miles. For the past year, I've been living with the nuisance of the transmission shifting harshly from 1st to 2nd gear, and only from 1st to 2nd gear. It clearly doesn't happen when the car is still cold, but once the A/T fluid warms up, it happens...
  19. Shopping & Test Driving
Hi all, I'm Jasmin, and it's first post here, so guess this is an intro as well! Me and my g/f are moving in together soon, and as our current car will be wildly inpractical for the road trips and weekenders we want to do, as well as for travelling with pets, it's got to go. We are looking at...
  20. Shopping & Test Driving
I'll soon be in the market for a CRV as bug-out vehicle ie camping, fishing, road trips with a 4 cyl, weekend rig ect ect, and I'm looking for feedback from 1st gen owners. I've always been a fan of the B20 motors in the first gen CRV's for being bomb proof if correctly maintained and not to...
