I recently purchased a 2007 awd and the first time I applied the (pedal type) e-brake, it became stuck and would not release. After quite some time and effort, I was able to free it by setting and releasing the brake, but I can still hear it rub on the back left rotor, as if it was still...
My 2017 exl crv is at around 21k now and I have been noticing the break pedal is pretty annoying squeaky. Anybody else notice this?
Thinking I'll need to wd-40 the thing....I guess it has just gotten broken in now.

I don't have the new CRV yet, was wondering if Honda uses a break in oil. On every new car I have owned including my Ridgeline I always change the oil around 500 miles, after driving it on the harder side. I've just started reading about the CRV engine making oil. Reminds me of the Honda 150...
Can someone please explain to me how does the automatic parking brake function? Is the LX 2WD even equipped with it? I have been using at as a normal parking break and lift up the switch whenever i put the vehicle in park. That said, what exactly is automatic about this feature? Anyone...
I'm sure this is a safety feature, but on the 2017 CR-V (possibly earlier models too?), the parking break is always engaged when you start the car. This adds another step to get moving, and it's not typically necessary where we go/park.

I have been Honda dealer for my crv 2011 They said to replace front brake pad.
Front Brake Pads resurface rotors - $259.
It looks expensive to me. Does it really cost so much? Should I check with other mechanics?

+++ 12 Volt DC
--- Vehicle ground when alarm armed
>>> Instant Trigger Input...
Hi, I am a new owner of a 2014 CR-V and was surprised to find out that on my second oil change the dealer wants to charge me 195 plus taxes to clean and inspect the breaks. The service told me that this should be done once a year or every second oil change. Is this neccessary?
