  1. Which Michelin Defender Tires?

2012-2016 Official Specs, Features, Etc. (Gen 4)
i have a 2015 crv exl. I'm looking for an all season tire. I drive approximately 9000 miles a year, 90% of it local. Micheline has a m&s model and a t&h model. I don't know what the difference is between them. If anyone knows what the difference is please tell me. If you have other tire...
  2. Michelin Defender or Premier?

    Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
2013 CRV-LX with 215 70R 16 tires. I'm trying to decide between the Defender and Premier. I live in SD so light snow traction is #1 consideration and smooth quiet ride is #2. Our roads are well maintained so winter tires are overkill. I'd appreciate comments from anyone who owns either tire or...
  3. Michelin Defender cracking.

    Problems & Issues
Well, thought that I bought a good set of tires when I bought Michelin Defender. Was doing a tire rotation today. Installed by Costco in Feb. 2013. Tires are marked on the sidewall (0513) which I assumed, were manufactured in the fifth week of 2013. Now have 73,000 kms/45,400 miles. All four...
  4. Michelin Defender - Rim Lip Gap

2012-2016 Official Specs, Features, Etc. (Gen 4)
2013 CR-V LX: I just had Michelin Defenders installed at Costco yesterday, and noticed that the rim lip protrudes more than with the OEM tires, i.e., a larger gap between the sidewall and inner rim face. Any one else notice this? Just wondering if it's normal, or if the tires are on the low...
  5. 05 CRV w/ Michelin Defender XTs

    Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
I just put Defender XTs from Costco on my 05 CRV, and noticed they seem to be pretty under-inflated. The door jam calls for 29psi, but they sure look like they need more pressure. In addition, my MPG dropped from 27-28 to 21-22. I've seen other posts where people call for mid-30's, and wanted to...
  6. Tires: Michelin Defender XT or Goodyear Triple Tred, better in snow?

    Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
I got a CR-V 2008 4WD. It is an EX-L but I doubt that matters. I'm in the need for all season tires that have good snow traction and I've narrowed it down to either the Michelin Defender or the Goodyear Assurance CS Triple Tred. I live in the Finger Lakes region so we don't get the lake effect...
  7. 2009 CRV Ex-L Tires - Defender or Lat HP ?

    Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
Greetings, Michelin discontinued the Latitude Tour 102T in Jan. 2013 The Defenders must be a harder tire and rougher ride with a 90 K warranty Michelin does have the Lat Tour in the HP model ... Due to the rougher ride of the CRV I am leaning towards the Lat Tour HP Any comments are greatly...
  8. Michelin Defender Comments

    Tires, Wheels and Suspensions
I heard Michelin Defender last about 90k miles. Costco has it for 177.99. OEM Bridgestone tires only last 30k...cheap. Defender last 3x longer, it's a little pricey but it will save money in the long run. Anybody have any comments about the performance of this tires?
