  1. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
Hi, I plan on running a reverse Camera that taps into the reverse light positive wire. My question is what is the wire gauge of the positive reverse light? I ask becuase I plan to use a T tap to connect the wire to the positive reverse light wire to activate the backup camera.

Hey folks, hate to make yet another post, but again I figured I'd draw some information from the community. Again my CRV has 220,000 miles and is a standard transmission, as a sort of preventative maintenance item I would like the replace the clutch. I will first do a compression test, and do...

It doesn't really need any, I'm just a bit of a gear head that likes projects. I have very clean 2009 honda CRV LX with less 85,000 miles on it. I am the second owner, the first owner had it garage kept and was a clean freak like me. Some aesthetic things I have already done to it include...

Saw a few companies that made brake light covers for the second gen but they made the text too big so the letters don't illuminate evenly. Put my 3D printer to work and made my own.

Hello all, I am new to the group. I have owned a 2004 CR-V for the past year and would like to start doing some of the repairs on it myself. From what I have seen, having a socket set will be useful along many different repairs. Are there any other commonly used tools that you would recommend...
  6. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
Hi Last Friday my problem suddenly started. I turn the key, the engine cranks but won't start. RPM are zero but go up just a little bit from time to time as it would like to start. I can hear the fuel pump starting. I sprayed starter spay on the throttle, doesn't help. Spark plugs a bit worn...

Hello, Does anyone here know anything about rear fog lamps for the second gen? At the very bottom of the taillights there appears to be a spot where they could go, but I'm not certain. If anyone has any ideas or has done this themselves (or has a mkII CR-V in a country that rear fog lamps are...

I'd like to change out OEM directional bulbs in 2004 for LEDs. Looking for tips on what bulbs work best, and what LED flash cube works best, as hyperflashing is an issue, I'm told. Also, if you've successfully done brake lights/parking lights, would appreciate your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Recently I was on a fire road and made a U turn it a turn around and while I was turning the trailing arm bushing, on my rear passenger side, slipped out of my trailing arm. This left my wheel with room to play in 4 directions so I parked it for the night. The next day I I went back out to the...

the battery on my 2016 CRV seems not to be retaining charge very well anymore and probably needs replacing. Is there any reason this can't be done outside of the dealer? Do they need to reset anything after the battery is changed? Will I lose any internal settings after the battery in...

We plan to obtain my wife's new (new to us) 2014 CRV EX-L in 1-2 weeks. During her test drive, she didn't notice if its rear hatch door is only manual or also has power lock system. U-Tubes videos keep showing a manual rear hatch door on 2014 models. My wife likes Power Lock (unlock) rear...

Hey guys there are a bunch of really cheap heating strips you can buy that would be super easy to run around the steering wheel and then put a cover over top of. My question would be this though: Is there a 12 volt power line I could splice into somewhere in the steering wheel? Looks really...

Hey guys, I'm probably not the only one with a 4th gen getting up there in miles so hopefully this is well-timed: Really easy, as it is on any Honda 4-banger. Should take you ~20 minutes. Any questions, feel free to ask. -Tim
  14. Gen 3: 2007-2011 (UK 2008-2012) CR-V
Bought new 2010 CRV EX 2WD. Has had two ATF changes at dealer, first one in 2014 (mil 58,271) and last was on 10/21/16 (mil 82,089). Current mileage on 11/23/2018 is ~103,946. I assume both were full exchanges*. That's 2 years and 21,857 miles since last tansmission fluid change. Normal...
  15. Gen 1: 1996-2001 (UK 1995-2001) CR-V
It's time to replace the old, corroded OEM radiator in my '01 SE. It was going to be a $400+ job at the shop so I decided to do it myself. Thought I'd ask if anyone here has done this, and if so, if you have any tips or pointers for me. After double-checking over everything carefully and...

Hi guys, I have just completed the DIY project of upgrading my car stereo on my (European) 2008 CR-V. Parts: The unit I chose is the brand new (announced Aug 2018) Sony XAV-AX1000 which includes Apple's CarPlay (which was the primary factor for the upgrade). To install the Sony, I purchased...

This past weekend I "flushed" the auto trans on my 2001 CRV SE. I just bought the car and had noticed the strained shifting prior to purchase; I knew a trans fluid change was in immediate order. All the gears were shifting pretty consistently between 3-4k RPM. I picked up 10 US qts of Honda OEM...

Hey! So last year, I got into an accident with a deer and it pushed the right(?) side of my hood up. I can't really afford a mechanic to move it back and I would highly prefer to move it back myself. I have some pictures of my hood at the bottom. Thank you! :)

How difficult is it to install roof rack on 2012 CRV? Can I do it myself with simple tools? Are the ones for sale on eBay OK? Thanks, Tom
