I am in PA and due for state inspection and emission test. The state inspection is being done by dealer free of cost but they charge too much for emission test. Is it ok to get emission test done by others like Monro who charge less? I believe emission test is just done by computer. Thanks

I have a 1999 cr-v and while driving it the other day, my engine emission light came on. I am going to get it checked out but has anyone else ever had this happen to them and if so what steps were taken? Any advice would be appreciated. JC
