  1. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
Hi All I was doing one of my first DIY oil changes, and when i removed the splash shield I found mysterious loose part resting on top of it: a plastic disc with a tube through the center that apparently dropped from somewhere up in the engine bay. How long it's been there, where it came from...
  2. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
Came across these a few days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIZLutdDzfo You can see the final look here: https://youtu.be/cIZLutdDzfo?t=698 They're one of the better ones I've seen - particularly around the fit and contour. Problem is - not sure where to get more info and it's for the...

Regardless of the DIY on your list, more often than not a set of ratcheting wrenches will make your life at least a little easier. They aren't an essential for a starter tool kit, but more of a way to expand your kit and improve on efficiency. If you're in the market, we found this set of...

  6. Gen 1 CR-V: 1996-2001 (UK 1995-2001)
So I live in the rust belt, acquired a free 98 CRV from neighbor. Rear wheel arches are full of rot. Trying to get this 4wd CRV on the road for my son this winter. I already restored a 2002 Miata for him which had a ton of rust. He will not be trying his luck in the snow with that! The CRV...
  7. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
Minder light came on with B16 at 14k miles on our 2017 touring. I was surprised I needed to replace the differential fluid which was fairly easy to do. I used oem fluid and crash washers. So did that, rotate tires and changed oil and filter. When I dropped the cover, I saw some oil drips on the...
  8. Gen 4 CR-V: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2018)
Hello all, I've found 2 rubber grommet/bumpers laying near where my CRV was parked. This was in my in-laws driveway, so really not certain if these are from my 2014 CRV. Under the hood there are 2 similar bumpers, but they are not missing. I've looked over the whole car and I don't see...

After trying several drives I had around the office I was not happy with any of them. My main problems: 1) Drive sticks out and the will break if I am not careful sticking items in the compartment. 2) Most of them get fairly hot. I have been testing this drive for a few days and it is by far...
  10. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
I just took my CRV in for its first Service, 2900 miles, and the mechanic found that the timing chain tensioner cover seal was leaking oil. The seal was replaced and oil cleaned up. I am curious, has anyone else experienced an oil leak like this? Also, could there be any long term effects...

Hey guys, figured I'd register here since I'm already coming on here every now and then anyways searching for information. I have a 2006 CR-V EX 4WD with a 5-speed manual transmission (I hear it's the last year of the manuals- SAD!), and picked it up about a year ago when it only had 32,200...

  13. Gen 3 CR-V: 2007-2011 (UK 2007-2012)
We found this metal bolt under our 2007 Honda CRV (4WD LX) in the garage. It's a carriage bolt, also described as a round head square neck bolt (though threaded all the way), 24 mm long (not including the head) and 9 mm in diameter. We've looked under the car and can't seem to find anything...
  14. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
Discovered today if you are viewing the mileage screen in front of you, the 'B' trip meter shows distance traveled & mileage since the car started. When you go back to 'A', you see the numbers since the last fill-up (I have set my car to reset the trip odometer every time I fill up).
  15. Gen 5 CR-V: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023)
Anyone knows what the breakin period is? Should I keep steady acceleration or try to make fluctuations while driving in the next 1000 miles? Any information will be apreciated. (Touring 2017) Sent from my SM-T713 using Tapatalk

I cannot find any window deflectors by either WeatherTech, AVS. Anyone else had better luck?
  17. Gen 4 CR-V: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2018)
Hey Guys/Gals, I bought a 2012 CR-V certified pre-owned from my local Honda dealer in December. Back in January I made an appointment for a thumping noise when applying the brakes, which my wife and I could hear especially at low speeds. At the time they said it was normal, and then the...
