  1. Tires, Wheels, & Suspensions
I'm planning on upgrading my suspensions to Silver's Neomax Coilovers. Their default spring rates for CRV specs are 14k front 12k rear. I'm still hesitant to buy this because I think these spring rates are too high. Does anyone know the stock spring rates so I could use it as a basis?

Hi, I just replaced the front pads on our 2012 CRV (FWD) and the install went as routine as a brake job can go but once I got the shims on, I saw that one of the little tabs on the shim was pressing directly on the rotor, making noise when I rotated the Rotor. I said well, this is the first...

Hi All, I have CR-V 2012 with FWD. My first transmission oil change was done by dealer at 30k. I just did transmission oil change at 60k. I drained about 3.5 qts and refilled about 3 qt. I checked dip stick,It shows above upper level (about the same distance as between lower and upper bound)...

  7. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
Hi, I am planning on getting a 2018 CRV very soon. I really dont have that much use of AWD as the CRV is gonna be used in the city mostly. But I was wondering if it would be much quicker off the line than the FWD. Please let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance.
  8. Gen 1: 1996-2001 (UK 1995-2001) CR-V
I have a 2001 Honda CRV with about 166,000 miles on it. Recently, ONLY when hot, the shifting becomes somewhat erratic and if for any reason I have to shift from FWD to REV or vis a versa, it wont do it until you rev the engine some then slams into the disired gear. As I said, this only occurs...
  9. Gen 1: 1996-2001 (UK 1995-2001) CR-V
Hello all, Just thought I’d share this interesting happening with my 2000 crv. Ever since I bought the car 2 years ago it always had seemed “bogged down”, the rpms would climb sky high when going uphill and it acted like it didn’t want to make it. I heard lots of different theories, the main...
  10. Shopping & Test Driving
In the middle of buying the 2018 CR-V EX-L FWD new. I see there are a number of accessories that can be bought and installed by the dealer or self-installed. As I negotiate the purchase, which accessories are worth to get at the purchase moment? I know accessories are a personal opinion thing...
  11. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
When browsing the 17/18 pricing threads, I notice a surprising number of people opt for the 2WD variants of the CR-V. I really don't understand why. Isn't utility one of the reasons people buy a CR-V over an Accord or Civic? Do the benefits of AWD not far exceed the costs, which are really...

  14. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
There was a thread I read last week where folks were talking about the RAV4 and how the AWD was faster 0-60 then the FWD. Was about 1 sec difference. Mind you not exactly a scientific approach just regular owners testing. Never saw this mentioned/tested on the usual online publications/review...
  15. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
I'm considering buying a 2015 CRV LX FWD and wondering what the consensus are on these vehicles. I'm in Canada and the dealer wants around $20,500 (57,000 kms) Any particular issues with this year? Anything to watch out for? Any and all information is welcome..... Thanks
  16. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I can't decide if I want AWD or not. I don't really know enough about the benefits or drawbacks. I would be coming from a rear wheel drive g35, which is terrible in ice. That is what led me to want an AWD vehicle next. But now I just don't know if I want it.... or just trying to waste money. Is...
  17. Gen 5: 2017-2022 (UK 2018-2023) CR-V
I favor the Touring aesthetically because the chrome strip downplays the over sized cladding, which for me, detracts from the clean lines of the new redesigned body. I can live without the additional gadgetry of the Touring, so would I really pay $2k for a chrome strip? At this point, I don't...
  18. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
TL:DR - basically is AWD worth it over FWD for winter country living? I'm interested in the EX 2012. Me and my partner are new to the world of SUVs this would be our first one.. We're trying to keep on budget and have noticed that FWDs are a lot cheaper than AWDs. My wife is convinced that we...
