  1. 98 crv stalling when warm & when you punch on the gas

    Problems & Issues
Okay, so this will be a long convoluted post. Please bear with me. So I don't have the vehicle quite yet, She has to sign the title and is buying a fuel regulator for it, AND we have to get with another family member to bring his trailer to haul it to the house. I am making a checklist of...
  2. lack of gas pedal feedback

    Gen 4: 2012-2016 CR-V
Hi All, I noticed that on my new to me 2014 Ex-L there is a decided lack of gas pedal feedback. It feels as if there is no pedal there, no firm back pressure when I push on the pedal. Anyone know of an adjustment for this? Thanks
  3. Gas Mileage decrease after master reset

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
Does anyone notice your average fuel range or mpg decrease after the dealership did a master reset on the computer?
  4. Premium or Regular Unleaded gas.................

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
    recommendation for 2017 CRV? Thanks!
  5. overall gas mileage decreasing

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
I've noticed that the gas mileage on the 2018 crv ex is decreasing. It's averaging now 24mpg - way under the average mpg noted on the sticker. Any solutions?
  6. Gas gage

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
I have a Honda CRV 2018 Ex. I was wondering if anybody has noticed or has this issue I have noticed that sometimes the range may say I have 96 miles to empty , I drive maybe 10 miles home and the next morning it says 40 miles in range and the gage has dropped a lot more then I thought.
  7. 2017 getting terrible gas mileage since recall

    Problems & Issues
So this comes at a time when mileage is already down because of winter, but it seems ridiculous to me. I'm down about 125 miles/200 kms per tank.... that seems a bit excessive just because it is cold out. I don't remember it this bad the first Winter I had it. Anyone else experiencing this...
  8. 2008 CR-V Bad Gas Mileage

    Gen 3: 2007-2011 CR-V
I purchased a used 2008 CR-V EX-L 4WD back in October. So far I love the car a lot, but the gas mileage, not so much... When I purchased the car, the dash read 17.5 mpg. And the previous owner did a fair share of city driving, so I figured it would get bumped up after driving it a while...
  9. Will a higher flow air filter affect gas in oil?

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
I just bought a 2019 exl awd and with all my cars, i always buy a DRY lifetime air filter with higher air flow from either AEM OR AFE. I live in california and likely wont have oil dilution issues but do you think a higher flow air filter can possibly cause oil dilution(more air more gas)? Im...
  10. Time needed to have gas evaporate from oil

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
I am not a mechanic. I really do not understand why gas gets in the oil. From what I have read on this site, temperature of climate and the engine in the CRV seem to be the reason for gas getting into and staying in the oil. If the engine is designed to rid the gas from the oil by means of...
  11. 2018 Touring gas smell in cabin

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
I know there is several threads regarding gas in oil so I hope my question hasn’t been brought up. I have a 2018 AWD Touring, bought new in NC. I have been noticing extreme gas odor when the climate control is set to fresh air. The issue is more prevalent just after start. Have any of you...
  12. RDX Gas in Oil?

    Other Cars, Trucks & Bikes
This is the first I've seen of the issue in the 2.0l, but it is worrisome. This is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I may just avoid the Honda brand as a whole and get a Mazda CX-5...
  13. gas in oil with 2.4L?

    Problems & Issues
Any reports of 2.4L engines affected by the gas in oil issue so prevalent in the 1.5T?
  14. gas in oil issue

    Problems & Issues
We had every intention of purchasing a 2018 CRV in September until we read of the problem with the gas in oil. We have been holding off waiting for the fix and to make sure that the fix works. Does anyone know if the 2019's have been fixed or if the fix is working in the 2018's? Maybe we...
  15. Poor gas mileage after 02 sensor replacement?

    Performance Modifications
2004 CRV EX, CEL came on, which pointed back to the pre cat 02. Replaced it with the Denso 234-9005 which after research, appears to be the Denso replacement for the factory sensor. I drive about 32 miles per day, 20 of those miles are freeway miles. Prior to the CEL and sensor replacement...
  16. CRV Gas mileage

    Gen 1: 1996-2001 CR-V
Just wondering what is a decent mpg for the Gen#1 1998 CRV 2.0, 5speed 179,000 miles, would be. Wanted to see how she was running .
  17. Any benefit to running a tank of ethanol-free gas?

    Gen 5: 2017-Present CR-V
There's a gas station near me that just opened and carries ethanol-free gas. It's more expensive than regular, but is there any benefit to running it through the latest CRV models? I've read you can get better gas mileage. I'm about to go on a road trip and was thinking about filling up with...
  18. 2003 CR-V getting bad gas mileage

    Gen 2: 2002-2006 CR-V
I recently purchased a 2003 CRV EX with 165K (AWD, Automatic) and have been getting it road ready for my daughter, which has been more of headache than I thought. I had to replace the Catalytic Converter and tires to get to pass inspection and that was $$$$. It is mostly ready now, although I...
  19. 97 won't run well without a bottle of Heet in the gas tank

    Gen 1: 1996-2001 CR-V
I have a 97 CR-V with 36,000 on it. (That's not a typo, it's low mileage) I rarely take it on highways and when I tried last month it would not go over 30-35mph and the engine was not running well. I took the CR-V to a quick lube place for an oil change and they cleaned the fuel injectors and...
  20. Gas Cap retainer grommet ... and more!

    Problems & Issues
Replaced my gas cap with an after market version, bad idea ... maybe. And, of course the retainer ring is too small for the new cap. I'm going to buy an OEM cap, but noticed the ones I've seen so far do not show the rubber grommet \ clamp that secures the tether to the fuel door. I have read...
