hitches

I have a LXS 2013 CR-V. I need a bike rack for two bikes. I don't want a roof rack. My car doesn't have the roof bars. Do I need a hitch installed? What are best bike carriers for my car?

I've been toying with adding a hitch to my v or wife's car. Noticed that www.etrailer.com is severely discounting hitches for the V. Perhaps they see limited demand for an old generation vehicle. Certainly we should expect Honda's own accessories to gradually become NLA for this generation.
