Hi all, I’m new in this forum. How’s everyone doing? I got myself a used 2008 Honda CR-V with about 47500 miles on it. Been using it for three weeks with no problems but I noticed a day ago that when shifting from D > N > R > P, it makes a loud clunk when it goes into R and another one when it...

I tried a vent mount, but the lower legs rested on the touch screen. Can't legally use a windshield mount in the middle of the windshield in California.

I own a 2014 CR-V EX-L which doesn't include the "official" Honda navigation system. I'm looking into buying an automotive GPS unit, most likely one of the newer Garmin units (I'm contemplating the DriveLuxe 50LMTHD). I've never owned an automotive GPS before this, though I do own a handheld...

I'm installing a home made roof rack on my 2011 CRV. It's a design I found on this forum. The 4 mounting areas contain 2 bare "studs" and a stud with a nut on it. These studs have to be removed and replaced with bolts through my rack. How do you remove these studs ? I haven't tried to take them...

Does anyone know if there is room below the emergency flasher button to mount a USB port from the stereo head unit? Don't want to go drilling holes and haven't had the dash apart since the install of the new stereo. thanks in advance Steve

I'm looking for ways to mount either a smartphone or a (small) tablet in my 2013 EX-L. There are numerous options out there, including vent-clips, etc. Are there any specific recommendations for mounting gizmos that work well in this model? Suction mounts are technically illegal in CA, not...

Hi all, I need to replace my left front mount for my 1st gen CRV. Apparently the bolts that hold the mount to frame are not only very likely rusted in, but are attached to 18mm nuts WELDED (!?) on the back side of the frame. Just like this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh9HUN--LcQ)...

Hi People, I have a 2014 Crv. I added to the sound system an audio control Lc6, jbl 4ch amp and replaced the original speakers for 4 jbl coaxial speakers. The rear speakers are regular coaxial speakers, but I use for sub only. My amp has low pass option , and i put a 120hz low pass for the rear...

Hi I just bought a 2014 CRV-EX-L with the Factory Roof Rails and need to install a Thule Podium Foot Pack 460 and Fit Kit KIT3118 to use my roof box, kayak and bike racks. Have not taken delivery of the CRV yet. Can anyone tell me if there are a variety of mounting points along the rails or...

Hi all, I bought a set of crossbars for my 2007 CRV from eBay seller free-motor802. Despite the ad showing the fasteners none were provided. The seller referred me to the text description which just says crossbars and makes no mention of the fasteners (grrrr....) Here's the hardware I'm looking...

I had a sticking swing gate handle. When I closed the gate, it would just pop back open. Anyhow, I had to remove the trim/plate that surrounds the license plate, to get to my problematic handle. I dropped it =( And now the brackets are damaged, it's being held on by two bolts now, instead of...

I just purchased a 2013 Honda CR-V and there were no installation instructions in the bag with the front license plate mounting bracket. I am reluctant to start putting screws into the bumper without seeing some sort of instructions. Does anyone have a link to were to find instructions? Thank...

So I was wondering... Is it advisable to put an amp in the spare tire compartment? I was thinking cutting out a circular sheet of wood and mounting the amp on that on top of the spare tire. My only concerns are heat.... Anybody done this?

I'm not only new to the group, but I've also never installed my own head unit before. Crutchfield sent along an American International mounting bracket (HON-K828) and it seems that it fits most CRV's so I was hoping someone here may have some experience with the mounting kit. My problem is...
