I got rear ended and while I was having to get my bumper replaced I decided to put in backup sensors I decided against the OEM accessory one since it's way overpriced and apparently hard to hear. If it was truly integrated into the stereo I may have considered it I bought this one which was...

  5. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Potential new owner here. I've been contemplating purchase of a new C-RV probably EX-L or Touring model. I'm currently researching and will probably wait till spring till winter is over. I drive way above average miles and live in an area where winter snow tires can be an advantage, but probably...
  6. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Does anyone know where the blind spot sensors are located? My blind spot warning has started to randomly go off when there isn't anything in the blind spot. I am wondering if the sensors might need cleaning?
  7. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
I'm looking at a set of used rims and tires for this winter for my 2017 CR-V. The description says "includes sensor and TPMS valves". I know that the CR-V doesn't use these sensors. My question is whether having these valves will work. In other words, I'm not sure exactly what's different or...
  8. Miscellaneous / General CR-V Discussions
Hi all, my dad has just bought a 2003 CR-V and has asked me to fit rear parking sensors to it. Because it has the offset number plate and exterior spare tyre, I am struggling to find a good place to mount the sensors, so I wanted to ask if anyone who has fitted sensors could show me where they...
  9. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
According to the official Honda accessories list/guide for 2005-06 CRVs, the back-up sensors and the trailer hitch wiring cannot be installed at the same time. I'm not having any luck finding an explanation as to 'Why?'. Is it a wiring thing or is it simply that the sensors would be constantly...
  10. Accessories
Hi folks, new 2017 CR-V EX-L owner here. Problem: I live in the city where some people are not so nice about creasing your bumper. I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a bumper guard that doesn't affect or inhibit the sensors from working or causing a malfunction? Thanks

The more there are, the more can fail. KISS--Keep it Simple Stupid can have it's advantages. Do you need more sensors?
  12. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
I was building a AWD Touring on the Honda site and it has a $525 electronic accessory. I thought that was already included on the touring?
  13. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Hi, any body choosed to get through rear back up sensors? Am looking to to get those with for our new 2017 crv and just wondering if they will integrate with infotainment screen to show the distance and direction between the car and the obstacle? Thanks,
  14. Gen 5: 2017-2021 (UK 2018-2022) CR-V
Had a huge hope for a new Honda CR-V, but received an email and found bunch of crappy functions, but still not no blind spot monitoring. What is wrong with Honda? First they created that cancer looking bump on right side of the mirror. Then finally it looks like they will removed it but still no...
  15. Tires, Wheels, & Suspensions
I just installed winter tires and a set of 16" steel honda rims on my wife's 2011 CRV 4wd. I did not get an extra set of sensors. What systems am I disabling by doing this? It's a royal pain to have the dealer flash the sensors each time we switch wheels, but I will do it if necessary.

I just bought a 2010 CRV EX L. As soon as I put it in reverse it starts beeping. Then it stops, then it starts again. Are they faulty or is this normal?
  17. Gen 4: 2012-2016 (UK 2012-2017) CR-V
I had the dealer install the back up sensors on my '16. While they work, the range seems significantly shorter than what i an used to from other vehicles. Seems I have to be right up on an object before they sound whereas in other cars the beeps start from as much as 5-6 feet away. Anyone else...

So I decide to take a dry run spin on Discount Tire to see how many BS charges they add-on to a tire purchase. As I began the checkout process, I see where they added on a charge for TPMS rebuild kits of &8/wheel !!! I thought these were sealed units ??? Evidently not - anyone with...

Regrettably, the Steelmate PTS-800MM78 front and back parking sensors I installed almost 3 years ago on my 2012 EX-L have failed. I believe it's the CPU. Fortunately, I have a SquareTrade warranty, so I'm awaiting instructions from them. Unfortunately, this model is no longer made. Can anyone...
  20. Do-It-Yourself / Mods
Hello all, I'm looking to buy and fit a parking sensor kit from eBay. However I'm concerned that the rear back wheel on my CRV will be too close to the obvious places to fit the 4 sensors. Has anyone fitted one of these kits and where is the best place the put the 4 sensors so it all works...
