My crv has about 138,000 miles on it. When driving about 40mph or more when I brake the steering wheel wobbles pretty severely. Once I'm almost completely stopped it starts oscillating. I already replaced the brake pads and rotors, so I'm fairly certain the oscillating is not from the brakes...

Hello, I've got an oem rack, 160k miles 2nd gen. The center bracket where inner tie rods meet has a serious knock. I can pull on it with my hand up and down a bit and hear a knock. I have already replaced the steering slider with OEM and it still knocks. Super annoyng. Has anyone ever...

Hello, I replaced the power steering pump on my 97 CRV. With the new pump in, it now feels like I have manual steering. The power steering just disappeared ! Can't figure out what's going on. Everything is hooked up properly. The lost fluid was replaced and topped off. Belt and pulley are...

I took the V into the dealer the other day to look at the fuel injection software version revision and in the multi-point inspection, it was noted that the steering rack is leaking into one of the boots. It wasnt an immediate need, but the dealer quoted me $1500 including the alignment. Now I am...

I feel like a real newbie even asking this. In the old days ( I'm 60) There was no question. Trani Fluid or Power steering fluid went in the reservoir.TODAY with all the proprietary crap these cars have, I'm not sure whether it's a gimick or to really abide by it. So the power steering cap...

  10. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
We have a 2006 Honda CRV SE AWD. Automatic transmission with 200,000 miles. I started driving it around 160,000 and don't have service history before that. Currently there are two issues I would like anyone's input on. 1) In 2017 we installed all new KYB strut assemblies front and back and had...

The 2017 CRV had steering wheel toggle that was touch sensitive. That toggle had ridges. The 2019 steering wheel volume control is flat and doesn't appear to support touch. Is this the same with everyone?
  12. Gen 3: 2007-2011 (UK 2008-2012) CR-V
Hello Fellow CRV Friends, I went to a local Honda dealership yesterday to get my power steering fluid changed out. I have 122,000 miles on my 2007 CRV and it has not ever been changed. The manager in charge of the service area suggested that I just leave it alone because Honda has no...

I've been meaning to ask this for a while now, finally remembering to ask. I hope I'm not staring right at it. Is it hidden somewhere or just a closed system? I have a 2016 CRV 2WD LX.

My family currently has two '18 CR-V leases: an EX that I got last March, and an EX-L that I got in January. Whenever I'm driving the EX for a while and get back into the EX-L, it feels like the EX-L's steering is a bit looser. It's probably just my senses playing tricks with me (the...

I have a 2019 EX and am wanting to swap in a leather wrapped (not heated) wheel from an EX-L. I'm having trouble finding a used leather wheel but can find a zillion 2018 wheels. Will these 2 wheels interchange? The part numbers seem to be slightly different but that doesn't necessarily mean...

Hello Everyone, Just had my 100k 2011 Honda CRV service done. Had replaced oil, filter, spark plugs and drive belt which was found worn so that also got replaced. Dealer also found that my power steering rack was leaking fluid and only way to fix was 2000$ 8hr job to replace, i did not want...
  18. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
I've come to realize that every 2nd gen steering wheel I notice is all chewed up with age, including mine.. I'm curious as to which steering wheel + airbag combo would be a direct swap on a 2004 CR-V EX, if there are any. Has anyone ever swapped a wheel and airbag from a different Honda/Acura...

  20. Gen 2: 2002-2006 (UK 2002-2007) CR-V
I bought genuine Honda rear diff. fluid and a pump because I wanted to change it myself. But as I got oil change yesterday at the mechanic, I asked him how much it'll cost for him to do it, just the labor. He mentioned $60 because he has to remove that black box (shown with red arrow) in the pic...
